Beyond the Tail offers one-on-one training and behavior sessions from the safety of your own home. Sessions are tailored for you and your dog and the focus is always on what you want.
Many dog owners just know they want things to change, but don’t know how! Here are some common issues that Beyond the Tail can help with:
- Puppy issues, such as potty training, nipping, and chewing.
- Loose leash walking and recall
- Basic obedience, such as sit and come
- Adding a new pet to the family, both before and after their arrival (for both cats and dogs!)
- Crate and car training
Additionally, Beyond the Tail can help with some behavior issues, like separation anxiety or lunging at strange dogs. Contact us to arrange a consult.
We offer both in-person and online services. In some cases, we will recommend starting with an online consult before moving to in person sessions. This allows us to gather background information and create a plan of action without upsetting, exciting, or distressing your dog. Then when we meet in person, we can get right to work.
Location
We are based in Lynnwood and offer in-home training throughout Snohomish County and northern King County. When in doubt, please contact us. If you’re not in our service area, we also offer online video consults, or we can help match you with a trainer who is.
Classes are offered at Kokoro Dog in Maltby on Fridays and Sundays, and Four Paw Sports in Lynnwood on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Pricing and Packages
One–off sessions:
One-off sessions can be an excellent way to decide if you want to work with us for a longer duration, or to address a single, simple problem. A single session includes a follow-up email after the session with any notes, referrals, or handouts.
- In person: $125/hour
- Online: $100/hour
Packages:
A package is 3 or more sessions paid for up front. All packages include an email after each session with notes, referrals, and handouts. Additionally, packages include up to 30 minutes in emails or phone calls after the final session, including emails to a veterinarian.
- 3 sessions (3 in person): $330
- 4 sessions (1 online, 3 in person): $410
- 5 sessions (5 in person): $500
- 6 sessions (1 online, 5 in person): $580
