Group Classes

Now offering classes at Diana Simonsen Dog Training in Carnation!

The address is 8819 353rd Ave NE, Carnation, Washington 98014. Classes start April 1 (no joke!). Sign up here. We will be working in a covered arena, so dress for the weather!

Beginner Nosework:

Every dog has a nose, and every dog likes to use it! In this 6 week introductory class we will cover the basics of scent, hides, and target odor, as well as ways to keep your dog active in the rainy Washington winter. Dogs work separately and are crated in the car between turns, making this a perfect class for barky or reactive dogs. Contact us if your dog struggles with being alone.

Control Unleashed:

This class is designed to help improve communication between you and your dog. It is based on Leslie McDevitt’s popular program and focuses on concepts like self-settling and emotional regulation. You will also learn how to neutrally observe distractions like strange people and dogs. The class is suitable for dogs that are reactive or tend to bark and lunge. However, most of the training will take place behind barriers, which can help dogs cope better with the training. If you’re concerned about your dog’s suitability, please don’t hesitate to reach out for more information.
